I asked my Dad why he had brought home a new
International Cub Cadet Model 124, he responded:
“Son, it’s the best mower ever
made”. So, after I retired from the US
Army, I looked for an IH Cub Cadet to maintain a
“lawn” of several acres. I refurbished a
109 I found sitting in the weeds and I was
hooked. I found a 782D…then an Original and
the collection was on. At this writing, the
operating collection includes:

the Spirit of 76 (SO76) Bicentennial model Lawn
Tractor, Rear Engine Rider (RER) models 60

Electric 95. There is also a LoBoy 154 –
“the IH Cub Cadet on Steroids”.
I found the 982 in NOS condition at Franks
Tractor Parts and bought it. This eventually
led to my becoming a partner in 2002. When
the sale of the buildings & property dictated
that we evacuate, Frank re-retired & sold his
IH/Farmall tractor inventory. I took the IH Cadet
& IH Cub Cadet inventory and formed the CC
Supply Room.
